NOTE: It is a never ending task to keep this list up-to-date, especially with the deaths of many veterans of the World War II era. I will add those that I happen to find but I will no longer take the time to access the 288 cemeteries. For a point of reference to show the scope that would need to be check, as of 27 April 2026 the VA Grave Locater includes 436 Olmstead, 161 Olmsted, and 17 Omstead and about 15% of them have just a name and years of birth & death but no cemetery indicated.

You can use the “Burials & Memorials” tab and select “Gravesite Locator to locate any burial in over 125 national cemeteries and 33 soldier’ lots and monument sites under VA National Cemeteries Administration, 90 State Veterans Cemeteries, 2 US Army National Cemeteries, and 14 cemeteries maintained by the National Park Service (primarily Civil War Battlefields). The 24 overseas cemeteries under the care of the American Battle Monuments Commission are not currently included.
