Family of George Leavitte Olmsted (2260*) by Ruth Daniels, about April 1976. Ruth’s nephew Dave Olmsted ([email protected]) has this small book available in a 2.5 MB PDF file.

The Family of Jacob and Mary Olmstead by Walt Steesy, privately published 1976. This work covers one portion of a family originating in Lycoming and Clinton counties of Pennsylvania. Shortly before printing, Jacob’s father Steven/Stephen (born c.1790) was identified along with his other children who were mentioned in the introduction but not extended. DNA has proved that this family line is not connected to any other Olmste(a)d line or to any Umstead family lines.

Moses and Hannah Olmstead, Their Ancestry and Some of Their Descendants compiled by Leola Grace (Olmstead) Marshall. Seattle, WA, privately published by Joseph W. Marshall, 1982. This was Leola collection of historical information and documentation of her Olmstead ancestral line collected over a fifty year period.

Eugene Eiklor, of Geneseo, IL, has produced a number of monographs that have information on his ancestors, including: The Barker, Dederick, Ecklor, Olmsted, Salisbury, and Taylor Grandchildren Inherit the Patroon’s Estate (July 2005)

Two books were produced by Viettia Newcomb, Ukiah, CA, c1999: Descendants of Wiley Holden and Abigail Olmstead and James Harvey Heath which includes a chapter on his third wife, Abigail Olmstead. No further information is available.

Our Family History (1632-2005)–Descendants of David Olmstead (#4277) by Ronald E. Olmstead of Mesa, AZ. A work in process, (179 pages as of Jun 2005), includes biographical and source materials.

There maybe others that I am not aware of at this time. We would be pleased to add them to this listing.
